AI Lab · The frontier

Applied research
at the frontier of AI.

The AI Lab is our research line: we study what changes when an AI has its own persistent memory, stable identity and local compute. It's not a product for sale — it's the R&D program that keeps hyperz ahead of the state of the art. What we validate here later ships into the software we build in production.

Research

Open models · training · generative

We investigate open models, run our own training and fine-tuning, and apply image- and video-generation models. We control the weights, the data and the pipeline end to end — without depending on a closed API.

Mastering open models is what lets us build bespoke, sovereign AI at the edge of the state of the art — not just consume someone else's.

02Active research

Engram Project

Persistent memory as a basis for identity

Aria's memory layer: identity, context and continuity in a persistent corpus with retrieval (RAG) across sessions. Without Engram, an AI replies in isolation; with Engram, it holds state and identity over time.

Continuity is the technical foundation of an entity — and the reason Aria operates as a system with memory, not a stateless chatbot.

AI Entity

Intelligence on local hardware

An AI that runs on its own hardware, local-first: no cloud, data under the operator's control, low latency. Sovereign memory (Engram) plus local compute give an AI that is private and persistent, fully under the operator's control.

Privacy and sovereignty taken to the edge: inference and memory live where the data lives, not in a third party's cloud. It's the natural step for an AI you don't just use, but own.

Why there's a Lab

Most studios deliver what the market already asks for. We keep a Lab because building better with AI requires understanding it from the inside, and because the most rigorous way to build the future of AI is to research it first-hand — with Aria as a research subject, not just a product. What we validate here flows back into the ecosystem and the software we ship in production.
